"..........I'm closing the blog [because] I've come to agree with the argument that at least one commenter made well in a comment box. This kind of blog [= whole albums] is wrong. Not because I believe musicians need record sales to survive -- I think the music industry would be healthier and our arts richer if records were used as promotional tools to bring people to live music events -- but because it's basically impossible to argue for large-scale music sharing without supporting the abolition of intellectual property rights. That's a protection that's written into the United States Constitution, and for good reason: a lot of intellectual property laws are not only right but vital to our country's artistic and intellectual health".
